Trip Overview
After lunch depart for the Haller Park (formerly Bamburi Quarry Nature Trail), a former disused quarry that has been reborn as a small private game sanctuary. A major initiative has been made to “green” the quarry, and these efforts have literally blossomed into an area of lush beauty thriving with casuarinas trees and other tropical flora. A variety of wildlife including eland, buffalo, hippopotamus, Oryx, crocodiles and other reptiles can be seen wandering with crowned cranes. The commercially viable aquaculture complex is also visited.
